Post First set of 747-8-wings is ready

Boeing just completed the first pair of wings for the future 747-8 yesterday.

German link with pic.
Boeing montiert erstes Flügelpaar für die 747-8 - FLUG REVUE
Their printed edition had a picture of the first nose section assembly a little while ago too.
In the meantime Lufthansa has ordered their new 747-8I seats from some ANZ-company.

This is neither news nor a rumour... and thus should be moved to another forum

But congrats to Boeing for getting something done.

Oh yes, this is news. Happened yesterday.

Those wings are said to be structurally almost the same like the old ones just profiled differently. I wonder could you refit them to older 747-400 somehow?

That's a relief....at least they won't snap off at the root ala MD11.

Question

Didn't Boeing claim the delay had been requested by the customer? (LH)
