Lightbulb UK pilot instructing in the US.........

Hi, I'm hoping that there may be a UK pilot living and instructing over here in the US! I would appreciate you sharing your experiences and offer advice!
I'm contemplating such a move myself but have many unanswered questions that I hope someone may be able to enlighten and advice me! Many thanks in advance!
Happy landings,
James

James#1,

I might be able to help. I know of a flight school here in Houston that has employed some UK instuctors in the past. I'm not sure if any of them still work there, but I'll phone the companies over the weekend to see if the UK pilots are still there. Would you like me to ask them to e-mail you directly?

Cool

James,

If you want to speak to Brits working as Flight Instructors in the U.S, give Anglo American in San Diego a call on 001 619 448 9149, nearly all the instructors there are Brits, speak to Chris the owner or Mark Chief Flying Instructor (both Brits), they will be able to answer your question about instructing in the U.S.

Regards,

GPS Approach.

Hello James,

Yesterday I visited two flight schools (at two different airports) here in Houston. Both schools have had UK instructors recently, but unfortunately, both instructors have moved on. (One of them just left a month ago.) So, I'm afraid I don't have any contact details to pass along.

Don't give up, though. Perhaps (like GPS approach in the posting above - - great info!) other PPRuNers will know of some UK instructors at US schools, and can assist you. I will also keep my eyes and ears open, and let you know of anything I may find out in the future.

Good luck,

McD
