Does anybody know what is the fastest time ever done between LHR/DUB. I hear that a contender could be an EI 737-200 which used to do a freight run on Saturday Mornings back in the late 80's. I hear the time was 37mins approx. Can anybody confirm this.

EI 1-11 sim demonstrated circuit, land on same heading as take off, so fly a full 360, on 23 ( that's a while back ) of 54 seconds.
Much better test of the adrenaline is depart Kai tak, (74-4 light, up to 10,000, back on again full stop, any runway. Time is brakes to brakes.
Record is about 5 mins 25, but we've discovered that the sims don't fully model side slip, so that makes the descent a bit slow
Another fun exercise is to try and get large aircraft into Short runways! It's surprising what can be got into places like Chicago Meigs, or LCY, and that's without a hurricane of a head wind.
