Edinburgh Aiport heavy police presence

Is there something going on at EDI this avo? (16/05 14.00) Just had to fight my way out of the airport from all the police everywhere. There're not only all over the approach road but also the cargo and permiter roads!

A full emergency was put on due to an aircraft landing with a burst tyre. Emergency service vehicles you saw were from the outside agencies that gather at the RVP's just in case the incident escalates. Aircraft landed safely with no further damage.

A burst Tyre can escalate, when the tyre on the other side of the axle decides to cast of its "mortal coil" during the landing roll out - tough on us SLF riding along on a pair of rims - not to mention the runway .

Thanks
