PIA at Man (04-08-07)
Does anyone know why the PIA flight went up to 23R for take off then sat there for ages and then limped back to the terminal about 1230-1315 ish yesterday ? as in Saturday 4th ?

the acft had not had his passenger manifest cleared by USA security before he had left the gate. As rwy 23L was shortly to close the acft was sent to J2 anticipating a 23R departure when security clearance was obtained. This security clearance took longer than planned and the acft returned to stand to uplift fuel which he had burned off sitting on the ground. You would have thought the security clearance would have been obtained before the acft had left the stand
