I'll have to keep an ear out for it, but I guess it will track rather further to the west than me.

RR must be a bit behind. They are chartering a lot to TLS at the moment.

At least they can now use the An-22 (back in service) and the Stage III IL-76 from time to time, meaning a cost saving over using the An-124.

Anyone know exactly what engines travel in them? Are they A380, A330???

I think the An-22 has visited EMA a few times this year already. My friend took a few photos of it during its visits. You can see them on his site which is..

Does anyone know if there is a Cargo Timetable for NEMA on the net?
Or any Movements for NEMA.

Having not being down to NEMA for a few years I am out of touch with what is flying in.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards.

Does anyone here know what the unuusal A321 was parked on the new apron at EMA today. It had a red tail with a white palm-tree on it, but I couldn't get close enough to get a reg. Could someone please help me!

Cheers

Question Midlands Midnight Flight?

I get what sounds like a large piston twin passing over my house (North Coventry) almost every night around midnight...The noise/sound seems to hang around for ages. Who/what is it?

Atlantic Airlines Lockheed Electra?

I've always thought that's what it is.

Could be anything from the L-188 to an Antonov 12 or Antonov 26. Certainly a few of those operating night mail flights in the UK I believe.

Not if it really was piston-engined . But you're right, it probably wasn't.

It could be the PA-34 that operates nightly out of Coventry to Dublin, takes off around 11:30.

If it's a twin, it won't be an Electra or a an Antonov 12 (and the An-12s are very rare in the UK at the moment.)

Might be an F-27 which there are also a few of at the moment - those things make a racket as well.

Hang on just a minute now! MikeSamuel said: "what sounds like a large piston twin". He didn't say that it definitely was a twin, nor that it definitely was "piston". What Another procedure and I offered were the most likely types currently in operation that may "sound" like "piston" heavies to the untrained ear.

There were some from another airport not East Mids in the sky around you at the time....... you can select a time and watch them inflight here... there is a tracking service you can run for East Mids and you just sort of come on the bottom of the map they do not appear to be from East Mids as nothing at that time was coming from or going too it...... the yellow ones are from another Airport

It'll be the PA-34. I'd know the difference if it was a turbine!

What is it doing?

The PA-34 Operates nightly flying from Coventry to Dublin with Cheque Books, the flight is operated by Centreline and is parked at Coventry most days.
