Manx Aircraft Register

The Isle of Man now has its own civil aircraft register, using M-xxxx registrations. It is aimed primarily at executive jet owners who might otherwise use Bermuda registrations. Tax advantages are offered as well.

Edit to remove web link.

One of the two aircraft currently on the IOM register, C525B M-ELON flew Ronaldsway to Biggin Hill today

The other aircraft on the register at the moment is C560XL M-BWFC (the letters standing for a Football Club in the NW)

The permutations of words starting with the letter 'M' is mind boggling

No....don't even think about it.

Ironic when the IOM-based airlines all seem to want all their aircraft to be registered in Austria, Czech Republic, etc.

M-ICRO arrived in the UK yesterday - I believe it is a Citation CJ2. It only passed through the Isle of Man en route to the UK.

That's because the CAA won't let Manx based operators to have UK AOC's.

C525A M-ICRO seems pretty active being noticed at Gamston (think its based here), Blackbushe, Humberside & Weston.

Out of Humberside it used a Eastern Airways callsign so presumably associated to that organisation somehow

Angel

Is there a web site to show all the ones that have been registered?

It will take a bit of getting used to as M-BWFC came in today and I asked the question to an airport worker where is this one from.

With a number of the aircraft being Execitive jets only a number of place in the U.K will see them as some airfields will hardly see any at all.

For what's it's worth (i.e. there aren't too many aircraft registered - yet!), there is a Manx Gov't website, which tells you where they up to at present.
