Cessna C750 or is it?

On May 1st 2001 I was visiting Venice airport in Florida and I photographed the following aircraft,

Now I'm convinced it is a citation or a Cessna of some description but when I put the registration "N45ST" into this FAA N-Number enquiry website it comes up with a Gulfstream GV which I know it isn't.

Can someone tell me exactly what this aircraft is and if this is not the correct registration then what is? It has really stumped me and I am very confused!!!

Rick

US registrations can be re-used (unlike in the UK),and as you saw the Citation X in 2001,this probably happened, and this registration mark is now a Gulfstream.

Unusually though,it doesn't show the previous use of these marks on the FAA site,so perhaps the Citation's use never was official,or it was painted, then corrected.

I did some research, and found this aircraft (the Citation) is msn 750-0054 and was registered N45ST,but became N450T,and was still registered thus in 2004.
However, this too is no longer current(latest allocation was to a Cessna P210).

So you see how difficult it is to trace US registered aircraft. You really have to get a manufacturers serial number at time of sighting,so that you can follow it's history through it's life.

I'm off to find it's current identity! Wish me luck.

Well, that was easier than I thought! The FAA site allows you to search by MSN,and this Citation is now N610HC,as shown here.

http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinqu...umbertxt=610HC

I will bore you no longer!

Rick,
this is quite involved, and you could get lost! But here goes---

Assume you're running Windows XP.

Go to http://fly.to/AirNet/
Scroll down to 'Production Lists',and click 'A to M'
Scroll down to Cessna, and 750,and click
Click on the 750 picture(after disposing of pop-up!)
Click icons as displayed, 'Windows',then 'Desktop',then 'c750'
At top of list, click 'Edit' ,from drop down menu select 'Find'
Type in N45ST,then click 'Find next'
N45ST is highlighted at bottom, with msn details.

From there,I did a search for Citation 750-0054 on Google, and came up with a pic of N450T on !!!!!!!!!!!!!! (which was the next identity for this aircraft).
I went back to the FAA site, and discovered N450T was not current,so then searched the FAA site for Citation 750-0054,and found N610HC! Phew!

Are you following this?!?!

Make a note of that Airnet site,EXTREMELY usefull!
