Spectators Balcony (Spotters Corner) If you're not a professional pilot but want to discuss issues about the job, this is the best place to loiter. You won't be moved on by 'security' and there'll be plenty of experts to answer any questions.

Incidents such as this ARE of interest to spotters / ppl but you can't blame people in the industry from getting fed up with operational issues such as this from being blown out of proportion.

Who knows how or by whom the information will be used.

If it's posted in spectators balcony, tyrades of abuse from some drivers / controllers are just unneccessary.

IMHO

Would it help if Spectators Balcony was made like JetBlast, where the threads don't show up on 'Latest News' on the home page? The problem is that people access the thread without realising that it is in the spotters section. If these threads didn't appear on the home page then anyone entering the forum would have to play by 'spotters rules'.

One of the main problems is that people post such queries in Rumours and News when clearly, as an everyday event, it is neither.

There is then the usual hue and cry from the 'professionals' who expect to see topics as per the Forum description on the Forum Home Page, until the thread is moved here and a more 'in tune' audience views it (exactly how it happened with this thread for example ).
