You would need an equally large market intelligence organisation to challenge a press release like that.

Quantity has a quality all of its own....

More seriously, Airbus had been planning an expansion before 9/11 and abandoned it after the turndown. That was why they did not have the lay-offs that Boeing did, they had not got around to hiring them. Now that the market is picking up it looks like they are picking up their expansion plans where they left off.

Not sure about Boeing, they would seem to be going down the path of outsourcing production work....
