Eaac 747'2

Hi. just wondering if anybody has info on European's 747. I think they've been having trouble with the engines, and there are a number of their 742's out of service, parked on the ramp at bournemouth engineless!

Two of EAAC's aircraft were leased by a London Company ALF - owned by Farhad Azima and one is parked at LGW and the other in the USA.

Of the remaining 5 or 6 747's one was parted out a Cardiff. Rumour has it that the entire B747 fleet will shortly be grounded.

Due to records traceability issues it is possible that these aircraft would not get an Export C of A so the aftermarket would be limited to the UK.

EAAC tried to refinance the engines with a variety of sources but nobody was prepared to finance them. The cost of the engine overhaul is prohibitive and EAAC probably owe the MRO a lot of money - so they are forced to juggle serviceable engines around - and eventually will have to park up the aircraft as we are seeing....

There is also the fact of the financial difficulty at EAAC. In February they layed off 560 staff and grounded most of the fleet (including all the 747s, although since they have seen some limited service).

EAAC is under a Creditors Voluntary Agreement (CVA) with its creditors to try and save the company.

eaac 200

The ac at LGW is not an EAAC ac..MA is on lease which Eaac dont want to pay..the AC at AMS is a similar story..juliet went back to lessors , I think Golf and Fox are at Filton and Echo and hotel at BOH...there are rumbling of a buyout..but a lack of credibilty..more to follow
