Two of EAAC's aircraft were leased by a London Company ALF - owned by Farhad Azima and one is parked at LGW and the other in the USA.
Of the remaining 5 or 6 747's one was parted out a Cardiff. Rumour has it that the entire B747 fleet will shortly be grounded.
Due to records traceability issues it is possible that these aircraft would not get an Export C of A so the aftermarket would be limited to the UK.
EAAC tried to refinance the engines with a variety of sources but nobody was prepared to finance them. The cost of the engine overhaul is prohibitive and EAAC probably owe the MRO a lot of money - so they are forced to juggle serviceable engines around - and eventually will have to park up the aircraft as we are seeing....
