The 10-30 is due a C check at FLS Manchester real soon so at least it will probably see next year. The nail in the coffin for the others is the thrust reverser mod which will cost more than the scrap value.
They might see a haj if some middle east operator can get a few hours out of them but it loos like re-cycle time.
Wont miss climbing up the number two to pour oil in!
Shame though.......not nice to see any aerplane broken up.
Coop & Wrecker bear.

DC10 - feckin dangerous heap of junk, good riddance to them all. My qualifications for this opinion? Absolutely none other than a good mate was on the faulty Turkish plane from Paris 3rd March 1974. RIP Bob.

MYT277/8 is a sub but to who I know not, presumably European or Air Atlanta 747 equipment. Air Scandic A300 is a possibility if the load is low but as nearly everything MYT is flying is full I guess it will be a 747

Thats a sad photo of those two DC10s standing there like that.
We had a MYT DC10 buzz through Swiss airspace the other day and he was shunting. We had to move all the other British charter aircraft out of the way. Nice to have a classic aircraft like this on freq, even though he is not flying the almost standard m.79-m.80 that all the B738 and A320s do. Not that the european jumbo will be any slower

A sad end of an era.
With 3000+ hours on the DC10-30, I can honestly say I have never felt safer flying any other aircraft. The aircraft was just as comfortable flying 20 minute hops repositioning between Maui and Honolulu as it was operating 12 hour Honolulu - Hong Kong flights.
I'm now flying a new, modern, clean glass cockpit and I'd give it all up in a heartbeat to be flying the -10 again.
