that Air nostrum is gonna get rid of the dash, is something I've been hearing since I entered the company, and that was some years ago... But I dont think anybody knows if it's true or not.

The crj has no authotrust.
No autothrust= No Cat 3b.
they are cat 2. and the minima depend from airport to airport, you find them on the cat2 ils plate for the airport.

the minimima for cat3A and cat3B you find them on the text manual of the jeppesen plates. usually 50 feet DH and 200 mt RVR for cat3A, and NO DH and 75 mt RVR for cat 3B.

CRJ Autothrust is an airline option. You can have it on the 200, 700 and 900 only paying the extra. The thrust levers in the 900 basic are airbus style, with thrust lever detents for Idle, climb,flex/to,ga... I don't remember exactly the detents). Cruise, descent and app power is controlled manually adjusting levers between idle and climb detent. Anyway the china airlines buys all crj types, full option included HUD. I have been flying this crj200 simulator at CAE Montreal.

CRJ200/700/900 have no autothrust at all, no autolanding, hence no CATIII

Cheers

catIII

It is tru that Air Nostrum airplanes are only approved for CATII approaches and they don'thave autothrottle but autothrottle is not mandatory for CATIIIa app. they can be performed with HUD.

Hola Yeles.
