Travel - at a price

Are any retirees out there in the same boat? Worked for a long time for an airline and then retired - receiving certain travel concessions - not only with the said airline but also many others. Then the airline went bust. A new airline took over and was not about to give any concessions.

Fair enough but the trouble there is that there is no possibility to approach the other airlines as we can't use the original airline's staff desk.

Bang goes the fond hope of travelling during retirement. This affects a very big and interesting group of people, which would for sure be useful as a seat filler for any operator.

Question: Do you know of any organisation, travel agent or airline, to which we could go and negotiate ( freebies not wanted - just a workable discount)?

FC

Well - no replies. Has anyone an idea of an organisation which would be interested in some worthy customers?

Have you tried Touchdown?
http://www.touchdown.co.uk/
There is also interlinebookers although I find that expedia and ebookers' prices are very similar to what you can get as airline staff these days.
You could also try staff services in the airlines that you are interested in, the might be able to help (if they want to!).

Hope you find somethere sunny.

Few Cloudy I would try RAPA the Retired Airline Pilots Association they have over 7000 members.

I think if you email the question to them they will either know the answer or put you in touch with the right organization.

Let me know if it works. Good Luck
