Sorry to intrude on this forum in English, but I am visiting Tuscany this summer, and would like some tips from people local to the area...
If you have any recommendations for places to visit out the way of the main tourist areas I would be grateful.
I will be staying just north of Lucca.
Thanks,
MS

Having just returned from Tuscany, thought Id mention a great restaurant in Montecatini Terme. Likely not to be in your plans but if youre in the area theres a place on top of a hill called Pietre Cavate that will knock your socks off for food and private wine. If their husky greets you in the drive- youre in the right place.

Thanks Jetdriver....I was beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable about it being in Questions! I firstly posted it in the Itaian forum, from where it was moved, but there was no intention to encroach on one of the more busy forums...reading Danny's current warning on R&N was starting to unnerve me so thanks again for moving it

'Mike' - I apologise - this is getting silly! Rest here, and I hope you get the 'exposure' you need as this tends to be a very quiet forum.
I think we need to do some co-ordination amongst ourselves!
