Apparently, this recruitment drive is mainly for the Q400 and a few will be put on the 737. I spoke to another HR official and was told they are looking to recruit somewhere between 40-50 pilots.

i fail to understand why are limiting the no. of candidates for selection:ugh:
what are they trying to save? expense on the exam?!:confused:

I'm not surprised with the number 40, considering nearly 350 candidates are appearing for the exam. That's just above 10%. Out of the 40 odd pilots that may be recruited, I'm guessing around 25 will have strong references (political/family/friend). :)

Is anyone still getting call letters from Mahantesh?

no buddy the list was finalised long ago as said by mahantesh. he also mentioned they have about 6000 resumes and had to call only around 300. you guys are the lucky 5%.:)

Unfortunately, I'm not on that list. I was told a few guys were getting call letters on the 15th, cause many of the others did not acknowledge on the 13th. So HR had to fill those slots. I'm not sure how true it is.

With regard to the Admit Card or roll number provided by Spicejet for the exam are they handing out only the photocopy of the admit card to us ? I happen to have received only the photocopy. Is it the same for everyone ?
