Unprofessional!!!

Justiceman, you are no better than Pukkhan or LOVE UL........UNPROFESSIONAL ALL OF YOU! And by the way, in case you all hadn't noticed, this is an AVIATION website not a sri lanka country political forum. God help Sri Lankan airlines!!! I pray that none of you are behind the controls of an aircraft............

LOVE UL 8th Jan 2009 20:26

Hey justiceman.

These are not rumours. Its true. Its all true. The news papers that carry them can be bought on the way to Katu and they are even distributed on board the airplane. This is the hot topic at operations.

Many of our fellow pilots and cabin crew that I know have invested in this company. (Golden Key Credit Card Company). Only to know that our our bosses bro has done justice to our hard earned money. Which our boss was promoting not too long ago. Now we know why. And time did show.

Therefore we got to watch our bosses. Though DP is the boss. Actually things are still controlled by our former dictator MR, via the DP servo jack. Who is also another very very very honest man. Time showed us that too. So friends our bosses are real distinguished and classic ones. I think this is a requirement for UL ops managers.

So I dont see any thing wrong. Do you? Except there is NO JUSTICE-MAN at UL.

coolguy 10th Jan 2009 02:53

Love Ul

Leave the airline b'cos of poor management?

This is like listening to the political debate whether George Bush is the worst US President or not!

Getting others to check their BC etc is of no use (have you checked your's by the way?)
Asking guys to leave the airline if the Management is bad amounts to asking all Sri Lankan citizens to leave the country because of poor management! The so called 'mis-management' is quite evident and needs heavy protection - that some are eager to supply. They love it when people with some morals leave the Company so that they could play more havoc.
Anyway guys be reasonable and discuss to the point and do not drop names and get personal. But do stay behind and fight to change a rotten system.
We all know about the selection process etc, it's rotten to the core! Guys are selecting their own types to secure their own places in management - they have taken the cue from politicians for sure. Just think for yourselves, how many of those so called instructors could teach? Their attitudes are so gross that the selectors should be scrapped in the first place. Not a good sign at all.

Pukkhan 12th Jan 2009 14:13

Current Situation

Is it true ops facing a severe crisis how to accomodate the A320 Pilots?

Have they asked the F/O to take 4 weeks on 2 weeks off leave.? So then the Expats and Dual citizens can get this advantage? any comments and news on this ?

LOVE UL 24th Jan 2009 06:53

A little info from the CAASL. Our boss DP is applying some pressure to get his suspended instructor rating back ASAP. As he feels naked and not sexy without it. Partial loss of power on line.:{

CAASL reply.

Wait wait.
:=

Pukkhan 25th Jan 2009 10:56

DP will do any thing to get it. Sad part is the whole pilot community in Sri Lankan is judged by this. In other places removing instructor ship means every thing. Here its little by little. Bad example set by the head. Hope will be the same treatment if it happens to another.

Mystery Death Of Srilankan Pilot

News

moderate 26th Jan 2009 05:31

Sri Lankan Pilot.....

The death of a fellow colleague is sad news no doubt.
It is a known fact that most Pilots recruited from certain parts of the world are heavily addicted to liquor. Perhaps its a matter of time before we get to know of aviation accidents and incidents directly linked to this. That would certainly damage the safety record of UL, as they are all flying Sri Lankan Airlines, whether Cargo or Pax.
It's high time that the Safety Dept does what is required before that happens and introduce random Breathalyzer tests at the Doctors, before flight?:ok:
It is already happening in certain parts of the World including our neighboring country India.........better earlier than later.
No point giving us past statistics!
Your thoughts?

FlyMeToTheStars 26th Jan 2009 07:25

Certain parts of the world????

And Sri Lankan pilots are not heavily addicted to alcohol ??? Yeah right! I am with you on the testing though. It is a well known fact that sri lanka has a MAJOR alcohol problem in general

Sri Lankan airlines History

I guess Love UL forgot to mention all the other pilots and their family istory at UL....?

Can we start with the pilot's whose wife and sister-in-law were found guilty of fraud and reprimanded? The one whose leading all the LOVE UL types!

The one who shoplifted and lived to fly?
The one who got caught sleeping with the mate's wife....

isn't this the forum for this guys? We love our rumors and our gossips,,,that's what we SRILANKAN's are famous for right...forget flying, most can't do it right anyway, that's why we have people like UL who definitely Loves the Airline and cares enought to mention it in the Log-in's and have never ever posted a nice note on UL ever.

So guys, go ahead...this is what this site is for...let's have it all....

MORE, MORE and MORE...........how about the CEO or CHAIRMAN of UL? They too can be mentioned here........Even better how about the BIG mAN himself? we are not new to politics here are we?

GO thrash and bang................

LOVE UL 31st Jan 2009 12:20

Well look who has woken up. Welcome back Mr.Sharuk Khan. I missed you. I really did......:)

Just a point to clear. Srilankan Airlines is great. No doubt about it.:ok: Except these few nuts that are standing out. You know the dudes.

In the mean time here are two more updates. Since you are wanting more and more and more.

Expats

Why the expats are asked to leave?
Because they are no longer required for the present requirement. Trouble makers, racists will be the first to go. I think its fair.

moderate 7th Feb 2009 10:59

expats......

Even when the airline contracted over the years (specially after EK took over) our management had been tolerating quite a few expats who should have been kicked out long ago for their racist attitude (guys from certain countries are the culprits) and their disrespect of Company procedures. They are costlier than the locals (tickets, leave etc) for the company and gives back nothing in terms of taxes. Shedding some of them is long over due. But let's hope that they were not asked to go for standing up for what is right!

LOVE UL 9th Feb 2009 04:37

The expats have picked them up from the locals. As our upper crust have shown with great examples the following. :ok:
  • Fruad
  • Wangling
  • Lying
  • arrogance
  • incompetance
  • Steeling
  • Violations
  • Harrasment
  • Victimization
  • Threatening
  • Slandering
  • Dishonesty
  • Fixing
  • Favouring
  • Miss use of power(power hunger and power loss)
