Same as sent to me by a PPrunner
Day 1 will be a general knowledge test based on ATPL theory. Brush up on conversion from feet to metres etc. Once that's over you'll have time for lunch then a panel interview in the afternoon. Relax but take it serious some people don't make it through this part.
If day 1 went well you'll go to Hong Kong for sim eval with a management examiner on day 2. Details will be provided at the time. If you aren't already flying the A320 it would be a good idea to get some practice in before you get here if possible. If I remember it was a visual circuit, v1 cut then raw data ILS. If you aren't rated on the 320 they will know that and take it into consideration. They'll also tell you to fly it like your current aircraft in relation to calls. Autopilot and auto thrust will be available.
Assuming the sim went well you'll get an email later that night directing you to go to Kiang Wu medical centre for your class 1 medical. The medical centre is on the 5th floor and thorough. It would be in your interest to refrain from alcohol and red meat for 2 weeks before the interview (maybe even get your local doctor to do a blood test for cholesterol markers and blood sugars before you go to Macau).
If your accepted you'll probably go to Beijing for 6 weeks to do your type rating before returning to Macau to do it all again (don't ask why, don't want to spoil the fun). YOU MUST LEARN PATIENCE WITH AIR MACAU.
All in all it's an OK place. Money as an FO could be better but it's doable. With kids the International schools will chew up the basic salary but overtime is plentiful.
Expect constant roster changes.. The only guarantee is days off.
Various rostering arrangements are available.
Plenty of Spanish speaking pilots in Air Macau so you won't feel out of place.
Hope this help.

That's very handy, cheers brother! Is the ATPL general theories or what should I use to refresh it before the test?
Some of you should have done yours. I just received invitation letter but haven't pick a date yet.

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone here has any information or experience regarding not being able to see the numbers on the Ishihara test. I can distinguish colors normally in other types of color vision tests, and I hold a first class medical certificate with no restrictions in my country.
Some time ago, I recall reading that certain countries in Asia may not accept pilots with this type of color vision deficiency. Does anyone know more about this or have experience with international licensing in such cases?
Thanks in advance!

Has anyone gone recently? What did you think? What did they offer you? What did they do during the interview?

atpl questions, psychometric questions, panel interview, pass day one go to day 2, simulator in HKG, pass day two go to day 3, medical check up. Pass day 3, 100% contract confirmed. Wait for join in date.
type rated they expect a bit more from your on the sim, non type they can be a bit more easy on you, but a big plus if you show you know what to touch and how to touch (sop) .
no brainer the same process for years…

To anyone currently working at NX :
1. Is joining as an expat TR FO with the aim of command upgrades opportunities a pipe dream like most Asian/SE Asian outfits?
2. For a fella with no kids/partner, does the average monthly net salary allow for a comfortable living + saving a nice chunk of the salary each month?
3. And for the more important questions....do you get crew meals or are you expected to go Ryanair style and bring your own?
Cheers guys, and if anyone has any outfits in SE Asia or Asia in general which are worth looking at as a TR A320 FO, do send us a PM, actively looking

1: you can expect upgrade to command 2 years after released assuming you have at least 4000 hours total and 2000 hours on aircraft more than 5700kg.
2: Yes definitely. Housing is expensive tho. Choose wisely.
3: Yes, you will get meals on board on every sector.
