Same as sent to me by a PPrunner
Day 1 will be a general knowledge test based on ATPL theory. Brush up on conversion from feet to metres etc. Once that's over you'll have time for lunch then a panel interview in the afternoon. Relax but take it serious some people don't make it through this part.
If day 1 went well you'll go to Hong Kong for sim eval with a management examiner on day 2. Details will be provided at the time. If you aren't already flying the A320 it would be a good idea to get some practice in before you get here if possible. If I remember it was a visual circuit, v1 cut then raw data ILS. If you aren't rated on the 320 they will know that and take it into consideration. They'll also tell you to fly it like your current aircraft in relation to calls. Autopilot and auto thrust will be available.
Assuming the sim went well you'll get an email later that night directing you to go to Kiang Wu medical centre for your class 1 medical. The medical centre is on the 5th floor and thorough. It would be in your interest to refrain from alcohol and red meat for 2 weeks before the interview (maybe even get your local doctor to do a blood test for cholesterol markers and blood sugars before you go to Macau).
If your accepted you'll probably go to Beijing for 6 weeks to do your type rating before returning to Macau to do it all again (don't ask why, don't want to spoil the fun). YOU MUST LEARN PATIENCE WITH AIR MACAU.
All in all it's an OK place. Money as an FO could be better but it's doable. With kids the International schools will chew up the basic salary but overtime is plentiful.
Expect constant roster changes.. The only guarantee is days off.
Various rostering arrangements are available.
Plenty of Spanish speaking pilots in Air Macau so you won't feel out of place.
Hope this help.
