DGCA ( indonesian) type rating procedures

i have a question regarding the transfer of a type rating from my original ICAO license to Indonesian CPL.

recently i have been told that my 737NG rating ( not current) on my original licnese can not b transferred to my indonesian CPL according to DGCA regulation. thus, if i ever wanna fly 737NG in indonesia, i have to do validation which effectively means my indonesian license is useless for this purpose. can anyone shed some light why this is so ?

thanks

Indo Type rating added to Indo license for expats

Hi,I recently looked into putting a type on my Indo license (I was told that to do this you have to have a request made to DGCA from local company first(including work permit /visa ect)Not sure if this is just for expats though. This didn't make a lot of sense to me as I wasn't planning on working there just needed a license to put a rating on.

Possibly not relevant in your situation... but at the lighter end of the market, we're being told that Bule's are NO LONGER being issued Indonesian CPL's at all, rather flying on a Validation of the relevant ICAO Licence. I certainly am (on a Validation) and have been the last 2 years. I've recently employed another pilot that holds an Indo CPL, which he will lose, and go onto a Validation. That is apparently a DGCA requirement now.

Thats something I also would also like to know. You will still need the 250 on type though I guess. If you have a job offer then talk to the company.Flying on a validation is more expensive and inconvenient for them as you have to keep re-validating you basic foreign licence/medical and your probably got a 90 hour a month restriction(you have to follow the restrictions of the licence you fly on if more restrictive than local regs,I believe this is an ICAO reg I read )

I don't know of any Bule who have had their Indo licences taken off them by DGCA but when I was there a few years back there was a few in the DGCA and on the payroll of a certain person trying to get me to 'surrender' mine if I changed companies.

If you find out an answer ,I would appreciate a pm.
I guess in Indo anything is possible when money comes into it.

If you have not actively flown the type in the past 12 months then you are considered as not being current on the type and it is removed from your license / validation. Applies to all.
