Xiamen contract
Anybody starting a contract with Xiamen ?
I understand the basic pay is based on 150 hrs every two months or 100 US per hour is taken from your pay when you fly less than 150 hrs.
How many hours does an expat Capt fly per month?
is it full pay from day 1 or is there a training pay ?
I already asked the agency but they cant really answer my question. It is always the same, agencies advertise but then they dont know the most important things for a Pilot.
If you are in a 6 weeks on/ 2 weeks off rotation, I see it very difficult to go up to 150 hrs.

At the moment I am in contact with Contractair and have passed on all the paperwork.
If anyone should have any deeper knowledge of the job and Xiamen in general I'm very interested...

I am interested too and have gone to Contractair. One of the other agencies was offering 5 weeks on and 3 weeks off and when I approached Contractair they said that they only offered 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off as in their view flying 150 hours in a 5 week period was a con. Nobody can do that amount of block hours in 5 weeks. So at least I feel they are being honest. Apparently the agency terms are all the same its just some are not being so honest. It is true they do deduct annually if you dont fly the set amount of hours which is a little bit worrying. But at least this agency told me that.
Still the first hurdle is the sim/medical and licence. Anyone have any idea how long all that takes if you pass of course.

If have a friend who is the senior expat captain at Xiamen, and he acts as a recruiter. The good thing is that he has a rapport with flight ops as well as management in general. He will give you a honest appraisal of both the positives and negatives of working for Xiamen. Your greatest asset will be his relationship and access to management. I went out to Xiamen to visit, and Brent was kind enough to give us his time. He was very open and honest with everything Xiamen had to offer and placed his interest in recruiting behind my best interests. Great guy.
PM me, and I'll send you his email....
Best of luck.
