Just been reading through your thread. I'm one of those "older guys" that was mentioned earlier. This would be my advice:
You sound like young fellas? Just starting out? New licence? Am I right or have I miss read something? If so your gonna be pretty keen? I know I was!
But cool your jets. The prospect of flying a 737 or A320 just out of flying school would be somewhat limited. I know it happens guys, but it's the exception rather than the rule. One of you guys mentioned doing remedial training to get through the type rating? That's unfortunately a reality folks if your low time and never flown a jet? I know there are some ace of the base characters out there, but most will struggle for an initial "jet" my initial jet rating was also on a 737 and it dammed near killed me with all the stress and trying to stay up with it all.
Unless someone has offered you a bona Fide gig on the aircraft then I would probably advise you to save your money? When you get employed by an operator they will type rate you and more than likely bond you.
My advice is to enjoy aviation first. You really dont want your first gig to be in an airline folks? It's pretty humdrum and routine? Get out there and fly a grand van around Botswana for a few years or go and get youself a gig flying nite freight single pilot in Africa? The experience will do you good and you'll be more prepared for that 737 when it happens.
Get out there and live a little guys?
In years to come you'll look back and realize those were the best days of your life.
Happy flying and good luck.

Higher Power
I can only support that statement: Take Higher Power, ask for Joe or Mark when you call them up. You will see that you get more value for your bucks then anywhere else and an all effort to get you thru with good grades.
They both work in that field since a long time and they are dedicated about Aviation. Same is for theire staff, you feel like you meet a Family when you are there, that made it lovely to be there.
I got my "Hat" in 1999 from them and on my last flight to DFW I visited them in the new building. It was the same dedication as years back but the outfit showed more modern as before.
If you go that track and want to pay for your own Typerating then take the best and leave the rest....
Fly safe and land happy

the training is free, the cap, however is not.

To further jump on the bandwagon, I would recommend Higherpower aviation too. I did my A-320 rating and was really pleased with not just the training but the way they treat you almost like their own. Their A-320 sim is a brand new one from CAE Atmos with the latest visuals. They also help you with the DGCA paperwork and I didn't have any issues during my DGCA endorsement.
And like the poster above said the training is free, the "type rated" hat is what you pay for

Whether it's Highpower, Pan Am or any other ICAO Level D simulator. The syllabus is still the same. These company's will quote the bare minimum price i.e 9k or 13k to draw a candidate in. Believe me, a lot do need extra sim sessions especially the guys with only 200hrs. As mentioned, same syllabus with a FAA Check Airman to either fail you or pass you.
Does'nt matter where you go It's all about you the individual to study hard and perform on cue.
Remember....It's only a license to learn. When you return to your company you will have line training and you will be moulded.
Have fun
