Theft of Logbook

Hello people i am in some trouble and looking for the best possible way out. If anyone has gone through the same or have any idea about what can be done, it will be highly appreciated.

About a couple of days back, my bag was stolen from my car that included my logbook and some important certificates. Now i am in a fix, should i get a FIR filed, and its not easy to get one done, its almost impossible. Also i have the photocopy of my logbook, so i can make a new one without a problem but what about the signatures and the stamping. I hope DGCA or the Airlines that i might get employed in the future would not have a problem with that, because i can always show the photocopy of my lost logbook for their records.

Guys please advise.

You need to file an FIR asap.

Once that is done. Fill a new logbook.

Keep the Photo Copies SAFE! Very Safe.

Visit DGCA and talk to Mr. Vashisht and ask what can be done about the flight log validity / stamps etc, as i guess he's the best one to guide. You may ask around other people too in DGCA.

But in any case. Get the FIR Filed ASAP.

On the FIR / Complaint to the Police, Clearly State all the Certificates that were there too, which will be required for Duplicate Issue of those certificates.

Tell them Your loss of logbook can really hamper your career etc etc, be persistent and get it done. That's the only way.

You register the FIR in the Police Station of that area where your Logbook Bag was stolen.

Good Luck

file an FIR asap.

Print out your photo copies and get them attested from the court. Get a letter from your flying school of all your training records, get them attested.

You are in for a long long road of breaucracy >>> wish you all the best..

Can't offer advice as I'm not based in India but I give heaps
of sympathy brother! There's absolute trauma and ****loads
of tears when the same thing happens to an expat within the
country I'm based. Luckily it hasn't happened to me (yet) as
I guard my navbag better than I do my wife's honey pot but
at least you have everything backed up.

I wish you every bit of luck and a quick recovery.
