SriLankan

Had some friends there but they left fairly sharpish. I hear it's an abyss for First Officers with some very overbearing Captains?

What's the deal? I hear they are offering Captains on the A320 commutable contracts? Is the money still as rubbish as it as a few years ago when I looked?

What's Colombo like to live in? The last time I was there on a layover, it all looked OK until I stepped out of the hotel into the City!!

Please advise
Regards

Well, well , well!

Around about 80% of the expats have either left or leaving imminently OR wanting to leave ! They cant keep a hold of many due to their (UL) inefficient ways. I think there's two or three that like it though, fair play, each to their own and all that.
Have you not seen their advertisement? Commuting Contracts available on A320 subject to company requirements? Well mate let me tell you there will be no such thing because they're so short of pilots!!!! OH and the commuting is ONLY for Captains! Remember that thread before which turned a bit nasty ? A lot of guys including myself divulged that they love Captains but hate first officers. And there you have the proof of it, slapped in big black and white on their recruitment page!
Colombo to live in? ........ ........... .......... Yeah... No thanks.

Look at Any other viable options before considering this bunch!

Cheers

To somebody in the know: Who do they expect to fly the A320s when the company offers below industry standards for what is being asked of the pilots? I'd want a commuting contract and at least two grand more as an FO, plus extra pay when you have to fly with some of the heros.
