DGCA conversion - if flying was done at an FBO/flying club
For those that did not do their flying through a flying school but rather at an FBO or Flying Club - will a letter from the FBO owner or Flight Instructor (along with FAA verficiation letter) suffice for the statement of X-C etc.
Also, does DGCA keep your logbook during the course of submission or will they accept copies?

Hello Shon,
Last time when I applied for my DGCA conversion, the DGCA wanted to see all the letters/forms from school/club on their letter head. So what you're planning to do should suffice.
With the log book, they would want your original one there for verification along with copies.
This was a year ago. Not many changes since then I suppose.
