Type Rating plz help
Hey Guys I am planning to do type rating on A320. Can somebody please guide me through the procedure. I have a Current CPL, FRTOL, RTR but my IR on multi engine (pa34-220t) is expired. I have some questions which are as following :
Thanking You.
Regards,
Jehan.
- what is the procedure to follow.
- what are the documents required.(DGCA).
- please give me the name of some istitutes which provide type rating and where are they.(excluding CAE)
- What is the procedure after getting the type rating.(for Endorsement on the Licence).
- Till what time is it valid for.
- What is the renewal procedure for it.
- For renewal do i have to go to the same place where I had done the initial Type rating.
Thanking You.
Regards,
Jehan.

Jehan Sadly you wont get a favourable answer on the forum about TR.
Better go and visit DGCA with your documents and some TRTO's Application form..ask Capt Kathpalia ( He is Incharge of issuing NOC ) about your problem and he will guide you way better than some depressed sick idiot.
If you do get the NOC then do post it here about the latest TRTO requirements that DGCA wants.
Vdaff - Get a life man, hangout with girls or friends( Do you even got one?) ...if you dont have then buy a cat and play with it or watch porn's rather than spreading your sorry depressed vibrations.

guy's it is not he's fault..the circumstance has made most of the aspiring pilots in India negative and lack in confidence...and yes why will not anyone be...even I am little low in moral coz i see the competition i see in the market...and people with pull's, contact's and influence feel's like committing a suicide coz i dont have one!
last year i was planning for 737TR in the same month of july...i had letter of invitation as well from CAE, Amsterdam but, came accross couple of people so negative..so lack in confidence..so much thought about the plan of going for TR..and told mee so many things about loosing 16 lacs....eventually i dropped the plan of goin for that TR...but latter in month of december...the whole batch who went for TR and huge number of pilots in india who had 737 TR got hired in spice and jet!!
this wrong decision of not going for 737 TR is haunting mee very very baddd!!
moral of the story..not to listen or take advice of anyone...just use your brain!!
@vdaff - it's not your fault...becoming a pilot must have made you like that..don't worry...just change yourself..time will also change..stop being negative...and use your brains!!

Going for self sponsored TR is no crime but classifying " I will get job with my TR " is called risking bad debt. Not all got jobs with TR....few of them are still sitting with no takers for them.
All the best for TR and yes HPA is approved by DGCA.Confirm again with DGCA about latest developments.

320 TR from CAE Bangalore
Will this be under DGCA regulations like first sitting for 320 specific/technical exams and grind it out just like other DGCA exams.
Or
Get a NOC from DGCA as we will be doing TR on JAA based.
Cyril what about this facts?
Another thing is that DGCA has changed requirements for TR....have they increased or decreased basic requirements and what bearing will it have on TR prices?

hey Jehan here are ur answers :
1) what is the procedure to follow .
You will need to apply for an NOC to DGCA stating your Type of Aircraft and the Institute from which you wish to do it. NOC takes about 3 to 7 days and you can collect it by hand. A sample copy for A320 is available here on PPrune you can search for it.
2) what are the documents required.(DGCA).
You will need to submit a copy of your DGCA CPL with the NOC, thats all.
3) please give me the name of some istitutes which provide type rating and where are they.(excluding CAE)
You can go to SimCentre Miami, PanAm, Cockpit4U in Berlin and Lufthansa Training Centre in Frankfurt. They are all good. HPA in Dallas has been recently blacklisted by DGCA, u will not be issued an NOC for HPA.
4) What is the procedure after getting the type rating.(for Endorsement on the Licence).
For the endorsement your Institute will provide you with all the necessary paperwork, you will just have to attach your original CPL, FRTOL, RT and Logbook along with the CA 39 form and submit it to DGCA. It takes about 2 weeks for the Endorcement. The fee is INR.10K for each type of aircraft.
5) Till what time is it valid for.
The Rating is valid for a year.
6) What is the renewal procedure for it.
You need a certain hours on the sim, i do not know the exact number. Will post it up if i get that info.
7) For renewal do i have to go to the same place where I had done the initial Type rating.
Its not required to renew from the same place, you can do it in India too.
i hope u have a clearer picture of the process now. And as far as 1000 plus type rated unemployed pilots are concerned, i am surprised to have not come across them on pprune.
Also 34K fee taken by indigo is for CAE Kaula Lampur. The fee in CAE Madrid is now 40K.
