HAINAN: New contract for all expats
Be advised that all expats working for Hainan are offered a new contract to be signed until 30th of June.
As many of us did not sign we got a new deadline 7/8th of July, take it or leave it.
On the surface it looks good: more money to cover for $ loss ( most of us are from non $ countries)
and more flight hours which are hard to reach ( so not our problem).
But the downside is in the margins:
3 instead of 2 months notice with penalty payments if you leave before,
sickleave to be counted towards your annual leave days and so on and on.
All in all: a bit more money for several rules changed for the worse.
No consultation with the pilot body before presenting the new contract and quite some pressure to sign.
Many of us are not happy with the way this was handled.

arrogant management
Many thanks for the important info!
I believe when companies start to take advantage only on the own side they should deserve the planes grounded so they will start to talk, to ask, to make things a little more faire. It's alwyas in hour hands...
