Well, in the Orient we do not claim to be " so good " at English like some people in the subcontinent. I had an ethnic Indian skipper harshly correcting my English simply because I used " please......... followed by a thank you ". He claimed that using thank you following a request with please is redundant, and he was pretty anal about it!

Holy Cow, what an essay! Googled it, and I was flabbergasted that the candidate DID pass the test! Gee, I hope this kind of standards are not applied to pilots' CPL/ATP tests

Despite what is in the google search, I very much doubt the Indian Civil Service would have passed this guy. Do not believe everything on the internet...this could have been a bad joke!

In a marvelous two line post I found two grammatical errors. Maybe you need to fix your English before picking on others'. Maybe FOUR heads banging on bricks will drive my point more forcefully, but I digress.
