Peach vs Vanilla

Hi all again

could someone explain why there is a need for another low cost Vanilla air if it is owned by ANA like (half of) Peach? They even fly to the same destinations..

I saw Vanilla is now advertising on Crew for captains, and so is Peach..I am confused, anyone knows how this works?

Thanks

Not sure about that but just FYI ANA also bought a 49 percent stake in a Myanmar Carrier. last I heard was they Plan to base up to 10 A320's over the next few year's.

Hi guys, a few years on, anyone who went through the training and is now a captain on the line with Peach can share opinions?
They have raised some of the benefits/money a tiny bit I just noticed...how is the company getting on?

They turned a profit for the last fiscal year and are projected to the same this fiscal year. Just purchased 3 more A320s at the Paris Air Show. Short on Captains.

Hi zander, is the process a little quicker now? how long did they say you will be in training before you can fly?

Non JCAB licence holders will need to anticipate at least 6 months for the training. However it may extend to 9 or 10 months depending on many variables. Some of the variables the individual has control over and some not! Like all airlines in Japan, the initial training is a test of endurance.

Hello-I'm only in the process of submitting my app, but sounds like 6 months, plus or minus 1 month.

Thanks for the replies.

I noticed from the site of one of the agencies that the pay while at initial training has been increased quite a lot, if I got it right it works out at about 12000 US dollars (gross) per month, is this correct?

Best of luck with your training Zander.
