Flight Training in Malaysia
Good Morning everyone, I am currently about to complete my PPL in Adelaide, Australia but planning to move back to Singapore due to work issues. I have planned to continue my CPL training in Malaysia Senai Airport. Will it be a good place for CPL training? Is it recognised? And i know that i have to sit for Malaysian exams, which are based on ??? (JAA/FAA). Do i have to resit for my PPL exam?
Kindly advise. Thank you

unsure whether Senai has CPL, MFA is the safer option
and CPL course in MFA is fulltime, and you said you have work, so i don't know how you gonna figure it out

MY Exams
MY DCA exams are now set by the UK CAA using the JAA database.
I believe that SG may be moving the same way.
CPL training in MY is all full time and concurrent with the IR Rating. It is not possible (as far as I can work out) to do a stand alone CPL.
To convert your PPL to a MY PPL is relatively easy. The first step is to join a Club and then go and get a MY Medical, without this you cannot get an MY Student Pilot Licence.
After this you have to sit two papers (I think) - Air Law and Human Factors and then do a Navigation (solo) exercise and then the skills test. The DCA may also require you to undertake a minimum number of hours flight training, however, it is usually extremely difficult to find out exactly what you have to do at any one time. It all tends to be a bit drip feed.
Gud Luck !
