FAA to DGCA conversion forms and questions
Hey guys
I am about to submit my docs for the conversion and I have a few questions.
1) I have an Indian RT permit and I was searching for the application form for the DGCA FROTL. Can anyone guide me to the FROTL application form
2)In the application form do I need to fill up the technical specific details ? I know that DGCA takes only the planes you flew for the gft's as the ones you are endorsed on. For example I got my GFT day/night/ir on the C172 and the Pa34 respectively. Do I need to put C172/Pa34 or just leave these areas blank ?
3)Is there any dgca official (rather than a clerk) I can talk with in the office to make sure my application is completed?
4)I am submitting my FAA logbook as I have not made a separate indian logbook. Naturally there are a few whiteners for mistakes. I have asked my CFI in the school to put the school seal next to these edited entries. Will the dgca create a fuss over this ?

Whats your number in Delhi. Facebook me.
Other than that, are you entries by month or by year or just the way you keep logging the flight time without any month separation.

I am about to submit my papers in too.
Same predicament though.
I have used a Jepp Proffesional Pilot logbook. Made the enrties as per FAA rules. (My FAA logbook itself)
Have made entries by year.
Filled the month wise and year wise and aircraft wise breakdown columns for the flight hours towards the end of the logbook and also made a new page and filled it for simulator entries at the back.
Anything else to be done?
By the way how long is the DGCA taking to process the papers these days?
Heard rumors about vacancies coming up in a couple of months and want to be prepared for it.

At the end of the CPL Application form it says..
"11. In case, conversion is sought in respect of license of the contracting state who do not conduct
technical specific examination for each aircraft and foreign license is for all single and multi
engine below 5700kgs, then on Indian CPL only one single and one multi engine aircraft rating
(for which he has submitted skill test reports) will be granted. Further, extension of ratings would
be done as per the provisions of schedule-II, Section-J."

I have a problem with my documents??
Hey guys...I have done my flying from USA...the problem is i have done it from 3 different schools..
the school i did from in the first place has closed down..
Now i have to submit my documents for conversion to DGCA..is it possible if i submit all the documents certified and verified by FAA instead of ant school.. Will DGCA accept my documents??

All your documents including the hours u did from the school u flew last must be signed and stamped by your last school...........irrespective of whether u had one school or 100...the transcripts shud be from the school u last flew.........all the transcripts ...signed and stamped by them...........

THIS MIGHT WORK IF YOU DIDNT HAVE A LOT OF AIRCRAFTS AT THAT OLD SCHOOL.
Track down the owners of those old aircrafts. They will be in possession of the flight logs. Ask them to verify your own logbook and issue a certificate accordingly.
ELSE, track the owner of your school- FAA can help you do it- else the other operators at that airport would know enough through gossip. Ask this owner to give you the certificates.. he should still maintain the stationary and stamps for it.
ELSE, if you did part 141.. FAA will maintain your records for you. Try them.
But I would suggest a trip to the DGCA office seeking real advise from them.
Plenty of ways to verify your logs.. but its upto the DGCA.
