TD vs TF

Both TD and TF are very arrogant. Their 'arroganism' ( If there is such word ) or arrogans differs in many ways. This one 'T' is trying a hard ball tactic trying to cut corners hoping to squeeze the pilots wages which eventually backfired. If he did that last 3 years it would have been ok. TIME HAS CHANGED. TD has no hindsight after what had happened. ( ...updating...still no BREAKING NEWS... )

The other 'T' thought he is already at the top of the world with 2 consec years running world's best LCC and thinks he is going to be there forever. Little he realised ( ...he is now realising...) that the other Asians LCCs are catching up with him with even more aggresive ways trying to get some share of the cake. The name " Air Asia" is synonym with Asia so there will be fierce competition within Asian markets. The good thing about TF is , he promised his pilots good remunerations he knows when to pay or not to pay more for his pilots. Since Air Asia pilots do not belong to any union TF wil play by the ears to fulfil his promise. Time will tell.

Well, if Tiger's ops is "sh1ite", how is then AirAsia's?

I guess any given employee in AirAsia earns about half of that in Tiger.

You might call this a success for TF... - of course you cannot compare those two. AirAsia is a LCC from a poor and corrupt country. There are no white men in power in Malaysia or in Thailand.

You as a pilot community should be very happy about LCC in the class of Tiger. They don't offer the same T&Cs as SIA or Cathay. But at least they are worlds apart from airlines in Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand. What would you do if Tony Fernandez would take over the world? - your T&Cs would errode much more.

But the problem will be solved by itself. Airlines from such countries have a miserable safety record, and it's a matter of time until it shows in Airlines with managers who blame white guys...

My friend..tell me one country that does not have any 'Corrupt' goverment or leader to some extent.Open your heart honestly..Please don't be mistaken here for any racial issue what is only apparent from what I would think is just Biz rivalry or competition..They have issues with MAS before attacking each other for their own reason..to survive in this cut throat biz hope to make some money by end of the day credibly without any bailout or direct support.Imagine yourself my friend running your 'own' airline..Or running your household without any undesired interference from your neighbour which you may not quite fancy...Imagine truthfully.

By the way I was told once by a swiss Capt 'Swiss Air was once a good airline and one of the best benefit a pilot could ask for'..Heck most of them are rich enough (I do fly with quite a no of them) that I wonder why they need to fly still...Then maybe because just the passion of it...He told me 'It's a sexy job' Even at the age of 60...So where are they now? Some corrupt practices maybe..I don't know maybe...

Also so that u don't get me wrong I don't work for AA, as a person TF may not be your cup of tea or for everyone but then as a businessman I think his achievement speaks for itself despite all the odds coming from the M'sian goverment,MAS,TD or you even. The amount of jobs created nothing has to do with the government..He must be saying if he could meet you..'Bring it on'

Bankrupt Swiss Air

Yeah, wonder how could Swiss Air gone bankrupt at one point of time whilst the other airlines were making tons of profit.
