Malaysian Airlines Interview

Hi,

I have applied for a Malaysian Airlines First Officer position. I understand a few interviews took place in London very recently and was wondering if somebody who attended could provide some information about the type of questions asked? For example were they personality or tech based or both?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi

I attended for interview.

I believe the interviews have now finished in the UK. Due to a large number of applications from Oz though, I believe there will now be another round of interviews down there. There were quite a few in attendance at the UK interview.

Questions were all about the individual, nothing technical. Documents were checked and photocopied and the completed written application forms were collected. The two gentlemen interviewing (a senior Captain and head of HR) were very pleasant. They allowed time for me to ask many questions about Malaysia.

Those selected from the first stage will then go to KL for sim assesment and medical I gather.

Not sure how many they want but I am told it is 50 F/O's and 30 Capts initially. They plan to get a large number of NG's and I assume that those rated only on the Classic will eventually be upgraded (one hopes).
I am also told that there have not been so many Capt applications from Europe, but that the reverse is true in Oz and New Zealand?

Don't know if anybody else here can shed any light?

Cheers,

hey mar tab... if u open your eyes wide enough.. you could actually see the questions... THERE IS NOTHING TECHNICAL JUST INDIVIDUAL QUESTIONS!.... maybe you should seek employment as an eye doctor/english teacher before you submit for a pilot application

I see Protec are advertising again.

Must be more people needed.

I have 7500 hrs total and 3500 hrs on the B737.

I am friendly, concientious, and answered all questions at interview without problem.

They turned me down flat. Go figure??

Cheers.
