Kazakhstan

I wonder if there is any one out there, helicopter or fixed wind pilots, who might have some information on how it is to fly/live in Kazakhstan? The company that I fly for is currently working on contract where we will be flying a couple of days each month in Kazakhstan. Since I don't know anything about Kazakhstan, other than that UATE is a very good airport for fuelstop () I would like to hear from others who currently are working or have been working in this big country.

You may find the documentary Borat useful in researching life in Kazakhstan.
