Hey Cronauer I heard from a mate some Tiger flight burnt
rubber while trying to screem off a runway exit in Bankok at
80 knots and nearley hit another airplane on the taxyway.
Scared the crap out of everyone. Was told the capts name.

o put things in perspective for some , the starting pay in the US for First officers on 737 or A320 range from $28 an hour to $54 an hour, and roughly %15 of all pilots here are on the street, makes you think, doesn't it . A lot of us are bolting for Asia, but many of the jobs there are only for Captains with at least 500 hours PIC. I wish you all the best in Australia and I hope the industry doesn't follow the American example.
Lucky thing in Oz is that the LCC's are all profitable and expanding profitably. Jetstar has upwards of 60 more aircraft on the way, Tiger has a little more than 50 coming, Virgin say they are going to replace their fleet in upwards of 100 737's and who knows with Qantas!
