Expats in Indonesia?

What ever happened to all those upstart airlines of the 90's? Is Adam Air out of business? The classic 737 operators still making a go of it with these awful fuel prices?

I used to operate into Jakarta all the time, and wondered about those Mespeti 737 ghost fleets supposedly parked due to FAA labeled "bogus parts" issues.

Do any Expats fly with Indonesian licences despite the FAA and ICAO sanctions for international routes/ with FAA "N" numbers.

I was parked next to a 727 grounded by the FAA in the 90's CGK due to the fact that it had an N number which I found to be surprising. The thought occurred to me that it might be fun to work for a little outfit again that needs a an old hand.

Thanks for any info.
