Post Age 60 rule in Asia?

I need to find out whether there are any States within Asia that have a restriction on exercising the priveldges of an ATP over 60.

I am only interested in operations other than 'Part 121'i.e. Charter/EMES as it applies to foriegn registered aircraft.

The only information I've been able to find pertains to RPT Ops.

Either post it here or email me,

Thanks,

Chuck.

Chuck - I posted a bit of info this morning but it doesn't seem to have made it here!

Look out for India as I know they have a 'no overfly' ban on 60+ for SIA etc. as an example, but that may not be your problem as SIA is scheduled. Italy and France have been total anti over 60 too for both charter and scheduled.

Thanks Khan.

Italy and France are so far out of our area of ops that I think they can be discounted. Even so does that restriction apply to their own licence holders in French/Italian registered aircraft or to pilots in say a VH registered aircraft flying on Aust ATP?

I can find nothing in the JARs that would restrict a, for instance, US ATP holder(over 60) from exercising his ATP(command) in a N registered aircraft provided it was not under Part 121.

The US are quite specific that Part 91,124 and 135 are not affected by any age 60 restrictions as far as they are concerned.

Australia are quite specific that age 60 doesn't worry CASA at all, but that it may be a problem in some countries for 'International Air Transport'. Does that refer only to RPT/Part 121 style ops? That is/was my understanding.

Singapore won't let anybody over 60 exercise any SINGAPOREAN licence at all, but makes no mention of foriegn licence holders in aircraft registered in the same state as the licence was issued. E.G. US or Australian pilots in other than Part 121.

Chuck.
