NYP, I believe they have a 49% stake in Myanmar Airways International.

Region Air Pte Ltd
50 Cuscaden Rd
#07-02 HPL House
Singapore 249724

tel +65 235 6006 fax 235 1681

They operate 1x B737-300 based in Yangoon,
2x A320/321 based Yangoon & Saigon.
Al Nawaz Sajawani is flt ops 'Senior Executive'

Lots of comment on Pprune last 2 months about their employment record and adherance (Non adherance)to their contract. The boys in Saigon got shafted over accomadation. Pay for B737 Capt US$4000pm, A320 capt $4500. They operate on Seycheles register.
During the recruitment for the B737 in Jun, they took a Capt who failed the Seychelles Law exam 3 times, even though they said only two attempts were allowed!!!!!!!!
A320 Capts mainly from Philipines, sim performance raised eyebrowes!!!!!!
One could not recommend them and maintain ones ethical integity. A few Aussies flying the A300 in Vietnam. They have a few TRUE stories to circulate.
Company motto: No drink, no drugs, no woman
You'all hav a nice day nowwwwww!

Skytruck,

We Filipinos would appreciate it if you can start by spelling the name of our country correctly...among other things.

Thumbs up

Appreciate the excellent information. It looked pretty good when I read it on AEPS but just as I thought, too good to be true.

Thank you.

Dear Skytruck,

<<Pay for B737 Capt US$4000pm, A320 capt $4500>>

An e mail I received some weeks ago quoted these figures as FOs salaries. Are you sure these are Captains' salaries?

My advice is to stay clear of this company: Extremely unprofessionnal bordering on carelessness. Very bad track record with their employees. Poorly-not supervised by Seychelles so they feel free to do whatever they want. Long track record of unbeleivably long duty `days` going in excess of 50 consecutive hours. Journey log and other legal documents falsification etc. etc etc All of the above well documented.

Thumbs down

I'm with Bushie.
Great brochure, but when you get there, nothing is as advertised.
Worst 3 years of my life.

Unhappy

I also figured that something was wrong when they never pick up the phone number as posted on AEPS.

Twice someone finally picked up. The first time hanging up on me when I asked if I had reached Region Air and the second time flatly telling me that Region Air did not exist at the number I called. So I had a realative call Singopore Telecom for me and guess what, no listing for Region Air, they must be trying to hide or something.
