I assume this is Serpent New you're talking about!. Maybe it's both of them, or the twin alter evil invocation of them. It is foretold in the book or Revolutions, not to be confused with the Book of Revelations, as authored by camelliers of yore, that the evil ones would desend upon the good auto-camel drivers and disguise themselves as craftsmen of the same ilk ( it is spoken in the Jungles dark & deep, amoungst many, that they are not!)
It also foretells that no matter what guise they take, their true natures could never be concealed. Hissing and spitting from the corner Orrifice's whilst conducting scribo-wars via the great etherway they would bring assunder those camelliers who dare question the faith of the faithless. The mighty long house will fall into disrepair. Many would find trails leading to dispair and other to enlightenment. Old Jungle saying, if you leave the kampung, make no smoke before you go, lest the Serpents doth scribo you heartlessly and mercilessly, as they have want to do. At the end of the epoch all shall be gone. Do not dispair, you shall not be there! Go forth and apply!

See You Next Tuesday!

Your right, unfortunately the reality is, they are a symptom of the problem and not THE problem. It is convenient to have them as whipping boys, it deflects the real issues that are causing the demise of the airline.

Hi Mr Hawk,

Please clarify what you consider are the real reasons behind the airlines demise. I am not a spy I am just an ex employee who would appreciate an insiders thoughts.

Cheers

Orang - On your admission you left. Move on. Get a life. What happens here is no concern of yours, surely; its terribly sad when folk just can't let go.

Oh thanks Static for your words of wisdom, you have helped me overcome my deep-seated detachment issues, wow what a self realisation you have given me!

Listen Pal this is an open forum and constructive issues can be raised without your unconstructive comments. However, if the moderator deems that this to be a closed forum for current employees then myself and others like me will not comment.

Fully agee Static. To all no longer here and still posting, the suspicion will always be that you are just meddling. Easy to email or PM your mates if you have a genuine concern and want to know something.
Have been there myself...left that particular company...and stopped posting. Why...because I was no longer in real touch with internal issues and...because I moved on.
If you have left and are still making critical posts could be that you are just bitter or..your present company is giving you too much spare time.
Just an idea...why not just get stuck in to your present employer..or..have you found Nirvava, in which case, let us know and we´ll all be right along.

Hi Yaw string

We agree everyone has a right to their individual opinion and but your comments and Statics indicate that I and others should be censored as we no longer work at RBA. You contradict yourself quite badly!

I am confused on how you are dissapointed on being critized by PM for your opinion but are more than happy to critizise me for my opinion as being an outsider and no longer working at RBA (sounds like the old double standards really).

Orang,
HOW POSSIBLY can you contribute constructive comments? Do ya reckon RBA directors et all say "Hey, Orangputi from Pprune suggets .... what a great idea, lets implement it"? Um no.
The fact that you come onto Pprune, and ask posters you don't know from Adam for "informed opinions" hardly convinces me of your good will.
I'll suggest it again, move on - you've had your time here.
BRGDS

PS - never said anyone should be censored, by moderators or otherwise. What I did say is it sorta saddens me how some folk just can't let go, and move on. The jobs I've left in the past, whilst great are behind me, and no longer needy of my inputs. Which I realise & accept.

Not much left to say really Static you are clearly not used to someone questioning you! Of course we will do what ever you say and succumb to your incredibly well informed and insightful opinion your highness!

Your comments are perile and it frightnes me that you have the capacity or intelligence to fly an aircraft.

Anyway good luck in the abode of peace.

Over and out you goose!

Off topic

Gents,
A bit of decorum? The above posting ridicules previous posters' English - hardly on topic. My point? This is a Far East Asia thread, and specifically Royal Brunei. 50%+ of the interested parties 1st language may not be English, and to go down this route potentially both highly insulting and embarrassing - to me at least. As a further point, postings such as this may cause any local pilots - whose views are perhaps more valid than the expats - to baulk less they be ridiculed by someone who perceives himself superior due his writing skills.
Please - keep on topic, spare the personal insults - we are meant to be professionals.

The Whipping Boys

Several mates reaching contract renewal are being openly bullied by The Brothers.

You are right BH they are a symptom of the problems in RBA who's reputation continues to be tarnished by past and present unethical conduct, esp by the Boeing 767 Fleet Manager.

The company has "no ethical standards embedded in the company".

The BOD should acknowledge that the company did not in the past pay sufficient attention to ethical standards and avoid activities that had the potential to give rise to reputational damage.
They should recognise that, justly or otherwise, these perceptions have damaged the company's reputation and that it must not continue along the route and take all practicable steps to ensure that such circumstances do not re-occur.

As an ex pat, hanging in because of kids lifestyle, the lack of management standards does not bother me in day to day life.

The problems with contract renewal are a genuine worry however.

Is it not time that, like EK, we could at least get a permanent contract and a proper seniority system, or am I hoping for too much

Exposing Bullying by The Fleet Manager

Exposer is the first step to a safer workplace, but no easy solution exists.

Like I mean they wont just sack him (which is what he deserves) he was forced to undergo a few HR courses, but thats not worked. So whats next?

With the 777 fiasco still being played out, and more than a dozen 777 rated pilots not having flown for over a year, one wonders just how bad management needs to get before they wake up to the tens of thousands of $$$$$ that this guy has cost the Co in the loss of staff goodwill.

Bullying is about power, usually its physical and obvious.

Our 767 fleet manager uses verbal bulling, seldom yelling, more often he uses insidious ways. Which is how he got his nickname and I have now been here long enough to see its well deserved.

S New- is going to cop it, might take some time but he will be removed from his position.

SQ offered him a command in cargo, then withdrew the offer. A wise decision that RBA should take note of.
