why lose the newest 767s???? must be something to do with a/c value?
I would say they should continue as is , and finish refitting the crappy two 767s which i and many others have experienced countless times
what next ?, cancellation of 787s!?

Which oracle gave you such a cutting insight into the business affairs of others?
They tried, it worked for a while, now it's coming to an end.
The writing has been on the wall for a very long time.
What specific information do the pilots at RBA need to make a decision?
A letter from the Sultan himself?

Crazy
767 leases have doubled since Mar 2004 and are getting more expensive.
RBA sold theirs and are re leasing them, akin to selling the house back to the bank and renting it for twice the price and rents are going up!
Where to from here?
Only the wise know and they are not telling

The GE B767s were sold to generate cash to pay for the Airbus leases. The Manx broking company that arranged the deal subsequently filed an annual financial statement that showed zero income from outside the EU! Financial policy over the last few years has been a bit like digging holes to fill up other holes. In the early 90s all the aircraft were on the balance sheet; the balance sheet is now empty, except for a worthless 757 in Azerbaijan and an equally worthless head office in Bandar.

777 still in the works?
Have heard from the GM of a certain gold-plated hotel that his director had discussions with RBA and the 777 is not out of the question yet. Dubious, but something.

Sure?
Wake up and smell the roses, there is no money and no planes coming.
Lots of hot air and no results!
Communication is non existant, always has been, why should it change now?
Company treets employs like mushrooms, in the dark and fed on bull***t. Thought there was going to be a new environment of open channels, free comunication, and direction.
Confusus say: Look not onto others for help, but to yourself!

"The origins of the contributions may be opposite to what may be apparent. In fact the unscrupulous may use it to elicit a reaction".
I think this quote covers nicely a few of the contributors to this Forum, in particular those that have nothing better to do with their spare time (and they must have lots of it) than try and create controversy and uncertainty by their ill informed and negative postings.
Remember guys, this is a RUMOUR forum!

Smokehaze, I am not going to get involved in a public argument with you. Ask the SVP Flt Ops if the options were discussed at a very recent Senior Management Meeting. 21 April, 0900 RBA Conference room.

Oh dear. It appears that there are those who would rather have facts/opinions about RBA kept under the carpet. That is not likely to occur these days. Let us hope that when the insults have ceased being traded, and the smokehaze has been blown away from these latest developments, that what is revealed is an unexpected treasure, not a nasty shock.

Xrba, I owe you an apology for dragging you into my post, it was unwarranted.
I also wish the best for the troops in RBA, but I get a little pissed with members of this forum who "contribute" nothing but negativity to a situation that at best is filled with uncertainty.
Comments like this do not help the situation, and I fail to see what benefit the writers expect to gain out of this except some smug sense of self satisfaction of having stirred everyone up.
Lets hope you are right....

Wouldn't it be a great help to ALL if the senior management, read CEO?, would take the time to brief the fleet managers and in turn brief ALL the front line troops?
Oh how immature of me, what am I thinking. That would be too much like CRM. Duh!

Rumour Forum
Some posts might be rumour, tongue-in-cheek, or even put there to get a reaction. So what.
After rumour we usually get facts, but when was it we couldnt post facts up front.
The Toothpick has enlightened us on many occasions, I for one look forward to more.
Nor do I have reason to think that xrba is bitter and twisted, his understanding of how this lot lack any understanding of how a business is run is spot on.
