Getting a reference or a no incident/accident letter etc out of a HR department of a Chinese airline is like trying to get blood out of a stone. Even the CAAC will deny other countries Aviation Authorities standard licence validation requests.

In fact the HR department see you as their Slave, they OWN you.

They are only interested in selling their Slaves to other Slave owners.

The local chinese Slaves, lifers, spending their whole life in servitude, and seeing a foreigner "escape the system" and make it through the perimeter fence, neither provides them a little cheer or even envy. Indeed they know nothing else, resulting in no visible emotion, opinion, feeling, or reaction, and better for them to keep it that way.

It numbs their pain.

While it may be difficult or impossible in many airlines I had no problems when switching from MU to HU and got a letter of recommendation after finishing my job in China.
Validation of hour, however crude, was never a problem.

Angry SZA......a black hole?

Hey guys...i am coming in Shenzhen for the screening. I was really happy until reading your last post.

By your experience seems impossible to leave SZA after the contract because of the missing of the validation letter and the hrs confirmation. IS IT TRUE?

How the expat. Pilots have been able to be hired in other companies without them?

Is there in China a good company to work with?

Is it true that they fire you for

Altitude bust
Birdstrike
Lightning

And so on?

Thank you for the cooperation

The CAAC did a hardover on the lightning strike issue about a year and a half ago. They threatened, in writing, to fire expats for lightning strikes. Like lots of things, maybe it went away. Or not.

Birdstrikes are not an issue as the Chinese eat any uncaged bird they see or steal the cage, then consume the bird within.

Altitude busts? Very serious everywhere. China it would be exceptionally dangerous as all the aircraft are confined in very narrow corridors.

Why not? Friends from former carriers are quite happy there. They get by the politics and other BS associated with the airline, and get on with their lives.
