Maybe a Longshot ?

Does anyone know of if any of the asian/arab carriers are taking on FAA qualified Commerical Pilots with 1500 piston total hours (350 multi).

There are lots of aviation experts (holding thousands of flying hours) hiding in the flying schools in Asia. They will rather choose those ICAO ATPL flying instructors first.

To guybrush,
1. CX used to employ foreigners, they might have change their policy (due to a strike in CX).
2. You are making him to sit for those HKCAD papers.
