so sad

heared that there will be a new screening and interview for all batches since there is a new management... what do you think? so if the new interviewers wont like you that means you are kick-out and wont continue the training... unfair right???

Some updates J

Please note that Tair Airways had a major change in its executive management. Of course to the best.
  • Crew: All the previous batches will be reviewed by the new panel for final approval. This is done because it was found that some of the accepted candidates were approved for hire while they should not.
  • Aircrafts: Still the B747’s are coming, but there is some delay in delivery from the leasing company in USA. The L1011 freighter may not join the fleet, as we are looking into other possibilities.
  • Date of operation: Will be announced during this coming 2 weeks. Most probably it will be by the middle or at the maximum at the end of July.

We are very happy that these issues were discovered before commencing the operations and not after, as this would have major negative impacts on the airline.

I can only suggest to qualified pilots(na di pa qualified lumabas, at ayaw lumabas) to aim somewhere else, like PAL or cebupac. It seems TAIR is still on the drawing board, last ive heard from people in charged of acquiring the 747s,was that they are having problems negotiating for the leases.

And for me, Jeddah and Riyadh aren't the best destinations there is.

Sometimes the shortest way of getting into a wide body plane, is always to go around it(the long way).

Emirates is still on

Emirates is still hiring guys, if anybody is interested. They are now providing Airfares for the interview, unlike before that applicants spend for their own trip.
Just increased the salary lately, and that includes the Educational support allowance too.
Direct entry Captain position is also available to those who are Qualified(B777).
Direct entry FO for the A380s - at least 340 rated pilots are at present being looked at.(with all the delay, 2008 is the year for the 380s)

FO entry for 777 and 330s too.

Type rating not required

Plenty of lay-overs to choose from and turn arounds too, di mauubusan sa mga sikat.(bato bato sa langit)

City Living and lifestyle at its best ( depends on you ). Hindi lang disyerto ang meron kami.

Working Condition is good...cant say its the best, but its fine. A busy workplace just like all others. 900hours a year limit compared to our 1000hrs a year limitation in the Phil.

Summer is really Hot(32-35deg at night/ 40-50deg at day), but what the worries with a fully centralized villa or apartment, you'll never gonna noticed its already winter time. And what the heck, you'll be in Europe, USA or Australia enjoying a cup of coffee and the weather. (Coffee not that bad in Africa, india or Asia too)

It does Rain during Dec to Feb.(3 to 5 days in a row)

Dubai is a place free to practice ones religion and beliefs, you can even go out with a Woman whose not your wife( this are just sidedishes, which I dont recommend ).Hmmmmm

Multi cultural school environment exposure for the Kids is Best, just remind them of our own cultures sometimes.

The Best of them All, Living with the wife and kids.(if this is how you like it)

Im only giving options to those who are really keen of going, bec. others end up going somewhere they later felt was a big mistake. Wag niyo ng sirain ang pangalan ninyo if you only want to try and see it, passing it doesnt mean you're Sharp anyway. If your ON, then Emirates needs you.

No News?

Well it seems that there has been no news on Tair in quite some time. Perhaps the Gleam of a new airline to service CEZ has worn off due to uncertainty. Only thing i can say is i hope no news is good news. Peace

Troubled Airline --> Tair Airways

1.By the mere fact that top management has resigned from Tair, it only means one thing: it is in trouble. It's not a good business portfolio to have your pioneers be "asked to leave" the company.

2. Who is the owner of Tair? I've heard that he is one of the favorite subjects of Mr Tulfo in his columns in the newspaper.

3. How can an airline start to fly when they still DONT have an aircraft hangar in Clark International Airport. This is just one of the requirements for setting up an airline.

4. Where are their pilots? Cabin crew is still training I've heard.

5. Can an airline fly without a roster of maintenance people or flight deck crew? Where is the plane?

6. I will feel bad if Tair wont take off but at the rate things are going, Tair is the butt of all jokes & ridicule in the airline industry in the Philippines. A sad fact.

7. Can the new company president Mr Ramirez deliver?

8. Pilot applicants: dont waste your time in a startup airline that has already a bad reputation to begin with.

Maybe you do not know Dodie Ramirez..personally

He is the one of the key persons who made the Cebu Pacific's 99% on time performance since the early days of the airline. He was the V.P. of Airport Services during that period. When Cebu Pacific finished their contract with Aboitiz Air on the Cargo side of the airline, He started the Cargo Ops. of Cebu Pacific and the Airline made millions because of him thru cargo. He also became the V.P. Marketing of the said airline.
Any airline can start using Wet lease ops..(although very expensive-not a good idea) on an interim basis..powered by the hour..They will take care of aircraft,mntc..crew.. or maybe contract maintenance thru lufthansa tecknik..a lot of qualified current 744 pilots (even pinoys) if they will pay well also cabin crew.
Applicants, If you apply it's only paper resume! Who knows what will happen tomorrow.

You don't have to be a pioneer to do your job. The airline needs professionals with devotion on what they do.

I am not from Tair..just my views..

Mabuhay !!!

Let's See What Happens

I just hope he can deliver. We'll see.

A single person can't claim that he did wonders for an airline by himself. It always takes team effort to pull up such feats. One can only do so much if he/she is backed by colleagues who share the same zest & energy as the "leader" does have. Mr Ramirez is no longer with Cebu Pac. This time, he's charting a new territory, we're talking about Tair here.

What he did to Cebu Pac is wonderful. No question about it but I believe that he did it successfully because he has a team who executed those ideas/plans into actions. Not to mention, an airline owner who makes sense.

Tair is a different one. You have an owner who seems to change his management decision from time to time. They haven't taken off yet, plans haven't firmed up as to what type of plane they will be getting. Is it the 747-400 or the series 300? What's that DC10 all about? Read the thread & one will see how questionable this airline is.

It's still anybody's guess at this time.

What's eating you, Maxi Mutt ?

You seem to be all over the forum spewing venom on

Tair Airways.

Like many others, we are happy that some folks think

investing in the country is worthwhile.

Then someoneone like you comes along and throws wild

and irresponsible statements and conclusions.

Why don't you, instead, wish them luck instead of

wishing them ill?

You claim you have checked on Clark, ATO, the company

profile- and you saw nothing but dirt and deceit? Did you

see it or did you look and dig for it?

C'mon fella. Be a good sport and give them a break. If

they are nothing but four- flushers, they will be

exposed. And heaven knows they will pay dearly for it.

So why don't you stop acting like a spoiled brat. Or

better yet, like a rejected supplier or trainee-

applicant?
