Air Asia widebody ?

any inside news on this rumour ? AA is getting either 330/340's for long haul and planning for KUL direct London ? big ambition though. many say alot of guys leaving or wanna leave the company and are very short of pilots at current situation.

just wondering, if short of crew now, how to fly long hauls and no food and poor pay without any benefits ?

current deal 5 years 150k RM bond for 320.
or 75k RM 3 years bond for a 320 rating.
330/340 ? 5 years bond how much ? 200kRM ? no food ?

good luck AA in searching and more info appreciated

Since Etihad has opened their recruitment for non type rated, maybe they should apply there. B737 and A320 meets the criteria. Fly to London and with food !!

This sounds like a good deal for tony and his mate con man mac, heard they are getting 1-2M euros per A320. Wonder what they will get for a 330.

Again shares at 1.40-1.50 and no divedends, wonder how much money the staff lost in loans and interest. Payments for maintenance/spares and aircraft purchases (100 A320) would have tied up most of the cash in hand from the IPO. In any case a revolving credit facility or loans structured on operating profit or a combination of both is just a copy of enron. In short the company is just selling debt via bonds to escape reality and hoping to increase their margins in an already compeditive market.

The A320 is costing them a fortune and the cost has exceeded all expectations. Their cost per seat mile as compared to the 737 is way up and it is just creative accounting that is making the books look reasonable. The moment the growth stops they won't be able to manipulate the ASK/RPPK with the cash recieved from the forward sales actual and forcast. Currently they are able to paint a cozy picture manipulating the cash flow and PNL against the forcast seat capacity/sales on the undelivered aircraft.

MAS is kicking their butt both on the domestic routes and ASEAN sectors air asia's seat factors are good but the yield sucks. If airasia ventures on the medium haul and long haul the major airlines they have pissed off will surely join forces with the others and kick tonys butt to kingdom come.

FAX is costing rager arseme and tony a bomb and those routes they took over from MAS are killing them inclusive of the government policy issues they inherited with said routes. tony's big mouth again, funny how he is so quiet these days. Hey tony you reading this!!! come and open your big lying mouth again. Why don't you take over MAS's unprofitable long haul routes and turn them around. Ha Ha.

Well if MAS couldn't do it in all the subsidized years they had RAS, what do you expect from an infant company of 5 years? AirAsia is well off concentrating on their LCC operations. It's more good news than bad for AirAsia.

Devil Good or Bad...

Yes..AirAsia boss said that he already signed for 30 A330 and 10 A340, but...maybe he should see what happened on the line with the brand new A320, how many A320 busted their Blue hydraulic and we're talking about a brand new airplane here. So for those of you looking for a proper job you should consider applying somewhere else and if you're stubborn enough you better have a loads of aviation experience otherwise it just a one hell of scary rides at FL390.

CAPTAIN WOOBLAH seems to have a good vision with what's going on inside AirAsia

Are they still going to charge 13RM for Nasi Lemak on a 13 hour flight to EGLL or maybe EGLK.

Is it possible??....I mean with their single fleet operation to lower down cost, could they be possibly buying wide bodies?

Well since it's a rumour,it might never happen....no??

And they'll need a larger tug to pull the widebodies back on the runway after going into the weeds.
