Hi folks this is the news taken from an artical in the newspaper which the CAA clipped the wings of 2 expat pilots flying a srilankan airbus with the knowledge of the CEO and Ops manager
Two Sri Lankan pilots with expired licences found flying aircraft

Civil Aviation authorities last week expressed serious concern over SriLankan Airlines flying aircraft with two expatriate pilots whose licences have been already expired.
The pilots, a Captian and a First Officer, were detected flying aircraft after their licences had expired, sources said.
An A-320 Captian of Russian origin by the name of Shcherbau had been behind the controls of SriLankan Airlines A-320 without a valid a licence from last November to February this year. The temporary licence issued to him by the Civil Aviation Authority in June 2004 had expired on November 10, 2004, the sources claimed.
Meanwhile an A-320 First Officer attached to the national carrier named Bel Hadi, also an expatriate pilot, had done 10 flights without a valid licence. His licence had expired on January 10, 2005.
When contacted, the Director General of Civil Aviation M.H.Nimalsiri said `We were informed about this irregularity by the Designated Check Pilot (DCA) of the airline and we have written to SriLankan Airlines as well as the pilots concerned calling for explanation`.
`This is news to me`, said SriLankan Airlines CEO Peter Hill. `I will look into this matter after I return from Nuwara Eliya`.
The Designated Check Pilot had detected that the A -320 Captian Shcherbau was flying aircraft without a valid licence after he went for his simulator training which pilots are required to undergo every six months, an airline source said.
Asked whether it's the first time such wrongful acts has been committed by pilots attached to the national carrier, Nimalsiri said, `We have detected such irregularities in the past too`, and warned them against repetition.
`But despite our warnings and an undertaking given by the airline that such acts would not be repeated, it continues to happen`, he said.
