Be careful not to fly in IFR conditions without a full/proper rating, thats a quick way to find yourself in a whole lot of trouble. If you do IFR training do it properly and finish the course. Friend of mine thought he could do half a course and get away with flying in IMC, needless to say he is no longer with us. He hit a mountain in IMC and was missing for 3 days. Don't let that happen to you.

Thanks Vfenext. No that was not my intention at all and I should have posted the question a little clearer. The only reason why I was enquiring is the requirement for a local operator to see some hours of instrument flight training, before they decide to have you fully trained IFR on type. Before everyone gets excited, it 's a rotary job hence the lack of basic instrument training as we do need instrument basic training for a professional licence.
So back to the initial enquiry, any idea where to get some basic instrument training in Malaysia, fixed wing is ok.
Thanks
Err sorry it should have said "we do not need basic instrument training" in the above posting
