Airasia recruitment

Hello,

Can a non malaysian Citizen and non Malaysia CPL licence holder apply to Airasia. Do they still require a lot of pilots??

Thank you

K.

I dont work for AA but,
1) coef.of.lift, FYI MFA I understand are training up 2 batches of new (local) recruits.
2) I heard there was some deal through Parc Aviation for foreigners who paid
for there typerating and were then taken on by AA as FO's. What pay and conditions are I dont know but I heard rumours that the pay is pretty low.
Of course apologies if my info is not quite correct.

Interesting. I personally saw recently the knock back letter to a 737 type rated Indian pilot living in New Zealand that said Air Asia have no requirement for expatriate first officers. Obviously not a level playing ground at KL

Actually take home pay out here after tax and EPF is NOT good for an F/O compared to industry level. Hope the next pay review is in an upward direction.

There are only 2 expat F/O's that have come in already with rating who were offered contracts on air asia local terms. But procedures change here often, now expats come in through agencies. Expat Indonesian direct entry Captains have been recruited though.

Welcome Utrinque.

kwaiyai, Next month the 4th batch will enrol there.

QNH1013, The next pay review (which is very close) I heard will be quite close to industry levels.

HSWL, I think there are more than 40 expat FOs there now. For a 17 aircraft operation, that's a lot.

There might be some confusion here. Recruitment has been freezed for a while due to the cadets they are now placing in MFA and the Airbus decision. But they will open up FO applications when they need to.
