interview

Hi everyone!

I would like to know whether I am qualified to apply and be selected as a cadet pilot for SIA.

I'm 19, Malaysian and my A levels results are AAA for maths , physics and chemistry. I'm a Student pilot licence holder and currently finishing my PPL training in my local flying club.

From what I heard, almost all of the new batch of Cadet pilots that were selected are degree holders ( Engineering, Business, PR, etc ) and most of them are 24 years old and above. Does this mean I would have no chance at all of being selected? ...

what are your opinion guys? i need some help here..... anyone?

cheers!

Hey everyone,

No call ups for any interviews this month of august or the next? Did read from the thread that there is an interview this 05 Sept. But there haven't been any responses from anyone out there? Anyone to clarify this?

ddreamer 17:
I cant verify this issue for you. I suggest that you head down to CAAS appointed medical centres to do an eye check. That should clarify your doubt.

Cheers

Question posed to me on my First interview with SQ?? Pls let us Discuss!!!

Good Day guys,
I just came back from my first interview with SQ and everything went pretty smooth. I was then asked if I read up todays paper and if there was anything involving SIA. I said I did and that it was abt SIA and the Australian governement discussing over a possible Transpacific route from Sydney to America. The Question posed to me was Who would Benefit more? And I replied definately SIA as the revenue generated would be great and the profit margin enormous. They asked me if there was any Bad side to it? They also asked if it would be good to have a merger with Quantas? I said definately it would do SIA alot of good. So then I was asked why the government of Australia is still contemplating about givng SIA this route? I said because it will be revenue lost for their national carrier Quantas. I was then asked the pros and cons of a Quantas and SIA merger and the cons involved in SIAs point of view of having a Transpacific route btw Sydney and America?? Can we please discuss this??

Hi Bro,
Can you move yr discussion to the SIA Cadet Pilot thread . in that way other people can participate and find interview related material easily..rather than diffuse threads....

Thanks.

Cheers Mate.

Aloyscious,

It doesn't matter you pass or fail your subjects, as long as you have your degree. I am positively sure they don't bother about the subjects and whether you passed or fail certain subjects in university. The degree shows that you have completed what you are suppose to complete and that's all they bother.

Hi all,

May i know when can we submit our application to SIA? Must we check out the classified for openings, or we can send anytime?

Also do we have to scan and send them our certificates thru email too?

Thank you....
