Hey guys,

Whoa! An avalanche of postings! Keep them going...

I have just sent in my application yesterday. I'm still not 25 yrs of age yet. However, seeing forza being called up for interview certainly do give me a good dose of confidence from being called up.

Walt, did you send in your application on your own accord or did you come across recruitment of some form? I've seen an ad recruitment hence I put my name forward for application before turning 25.5. Your answers web is a !!Thank you!

We will fly

i downloaded the application form like 1 year ago...finally decided to send it on my own accord. there was no advert then, but in their website, they are always recruiting.

1 week after my interview, they was a ad in the classifieds for sia cadet pilot.

forza111,

CONGRATS! u r one step closer in realising ur dream.

The aptitute test is not that tough. You should not have any problems finishing it if u can keep ur mind calm.

The final interview is a follow up/more detailed interview of the first one.

They wanna gauge ur character to see if you are suitable to be employed and if u r committed enough.

Just be yourself and be calm when answering the questions. You will be selected if you have what it takes. Being over prepared may backfire.

Most of the tips are already posted in this thread. Look carefully to find them.

ALL THE BEST!

congrats to those brudders passing the first interview and good luck for your second.. got a really really stupid question here... i am contracted to my current company for 2 years thus will only be allowed to send in my application when i am 28 approaching 29 years old.. i know the age limit is somewhere around 32 but is age an important factor for becoming a cadet pilot?

predator79, there are 32 year olds who made it to the cadet pilot program. as long as you have the passion and commitment, i think should not be a problem lah.

Hello, all
anyone went for todays interview?
I go for my interview today... it do not last for very long, about 15 mins... it is already after 5Pm. I am the second last one....not many question being asked.. just all the basic one... have a little argument about the speed of speed... but i think it is ok... my answer for good pilot not seem to be very good.
The lady told me to wake for two weeks for the result?
any chance for me?

Hello saviour and to all,

I suppose like all of the threads you read in this forum, they are looking for ppl with passion and commitment. Now I believe that age is not a matter its the way of thinking and contribution they are looking for... as for sending in your application jus do it and wait for the call to go for your first interview

I am still preparing for my next round of interview... seems like there are so many things to read and study...

Anyone has any idea if there is any attire to comply to when we are going for aptitude and sit test? I know the final one needs to be in shirt and tie... plus those who has recently gone for their second round please help me out... I am a total aviation idiot but a heart to become a pilot!

Cheers
Forza

White Oak, your line has great potentials for SQ recruitment ads!!

Forza , the answers web that walt recommended is pretty good. Very complete and useful. There are links for the jargons too.

Forza i think long sleeves shirt and tie should be the norm.

for my case, aptitude test was on the second interview, following a briefing in the morning. there wasn't any real interview but everyone was in long sleeves shirt and tie... so dun be left out bah.

the sit test was on the same day as the final interview and tea party, so definately must wear long sleeves and tie liao.

dress smartly and have good posture. wanna be pilot must act and look like one mah. i dun think they will employ sloppy folks who dun give a hoot.

walking around the centre, you will definately walk pass some management pilots, so, be polite. behave properly when walking to the canteen for lunch and etc etc etc lah.... you know the drill rite?

Any Idea when the next OBS intake

Hi Sandfiller,
Are you going for the OBS this 22nd. How many people are there in your course intake? Do you have any idea how many cadets required to make a course. Any insight as to when the next OBS date.

Have a nice day and enjoy your OBS in Lumut.

Cheers Mate.
